Zahara Bedewi-Hayes is a lawyer in Hunt & Hunt’s Corporate & Commercial team in Melbourne, assisting on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and general commercial advisory matters.
Working closely with Principal Nick Miller, Zahara supports a broad range of corporate transactions and advisory engagements, including company structuring, shareholder arrangements and governance compliance. Her experience spans both transactional and advisory work, with a strong focus on ensuring that corporate documentation is accurate, practical and commercially aligned.
Zahara brings a solid corporate foundation to her role. Prior to commencing as a Graduate-at-Law, she worked extensively in the preparation of trust deeds, related corporate documents and company incorporations. She later joined Hunt & Hunt as an assistant within the Corporate & Commercial team, where she developed a detailed understanding of complex corporate and governance matters before progressing into her current position.
In addition to her corporate work, Zahara has experience in banking and finance matters, including managing consent files and assisting with mortgage and finance documentation. Through internal rotations, she has also gained exposure to local government, property, insurance, litigation and employment matters, providing her with a broader appreciation of the commercial environment in which clients operate.
Zahara is recognised for her meticulous attention to detail and disciplined approach to legal work. She prioritises precision and thoroughness from the outset, understanding that careful preparation reduces risk and delivers more efficient outcomes for clients.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, Australian Women Lawyers and Victorian Women Lawyers.
